Join us for a public panel discussion that aims to raise awareness and inspire solutions to the obstacles people face when trying to access evidence based mental health treatment.
Jordanna Laman will share her personal experience with barriers she has faced when accessing care. Dr. David Goldbloom will provide a perspective from the Mental Health Commission of Canada regarding psychotherapy provision as well as evidence of novel interventions from other countries to improve access to psychological treatment. Claire Kislinsky and Fiona Wilson will present their Code Red project findings with a spotlight on focus group voices and experiences with barriers to care. Dr. Nick Kates will be the discussant and will also provide a perspective on developing family health teams and embedding mental health clinicians in primary care. Dr. Randi McCabe will chair the panel. Further information is included in the attached flyer.
