Poster Abstracts Information

 

• Abstract Poster Submission Deadline: Midnight Eastern Time on Friday March 8, 2024 - CLOSED

• Review Period: March 9, 2024 - March 27, 2024 - CLOSED
• Notifications: March 29, 2024- SENT

 

Note: When you Submit a Poster Abstract, you will have the opportunity to apply for Outstanding Research and Clinical Poster Awards, as well as, Student Professional Development Awards (SPDA), all within the same application. 

 

For accepted posters, the person designated as the presenter in the application MUST attend the poster session in-person (Chelsea Hotel, Toronto, Ontario).

 

Outstanding Research and Clinical Poster Awards  & Student Professional Development Award (SPDA):

If you are a student submitting a poster, you will have the opportunity to indicate in the application form if you would like to be considered for the Keith Dobson Award for Outstanding Clinical Poster or the Jack Rachman Award for Outstanding Research Poster. The posters will be assessed in the poster session and awards will be announced at the conference. Each award comes with a certificate and a $100 cash prize.

 

Additionally, students will have the opportunity to apply for the SPDA when submitting the poster abstract.  The CACBT awards four of these awards each year, two of which are demarcated to students who self-identify as Indigenous, racialized, and/or a person of colour, to help address existing inequities and systemic barriers in our field. The SPDA winners will be notified by March 29, 2024. Each award comes with a certificate and a $500 cash prize presented at the conference.
