10th Annual Conference

10th Annual Conference

Various Dates - 2020

Virtual

Conference Chair: Andrea Ashbaugh

Given the COVID-19 pandemic, CACBT-ACTCC made the difficult decision to cancel the 10th annual conference that was to take place May 21-23 2020 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.  Nonetheless, we would like to offer a Thank youMerci to the Conference Planning Committee (Andrea Ashbaugh, Diana Dunnell, Noah Lazar, Alissa Pencer, and Natalie Stratton) for their time spent on preparation and planning for the conference which was deferred to 2021.

Annual General Meeting ("AGM")

The AGM was hosted virtually on May 22, 2020. We had approximately 40 members in attendance and it was well received. We also hosted a Town Hall Meeting following the AGM, where we opened it up to questions and comments. Members presented ideas, voiced their opinions, and we had the opportunity to brainstorm on future recommendations to continue to ensure the growth of CACBT.

We also increased communication via CACBT-ACTCC’s Newsletters and published four editions over the last year in both English and French (Summer 2019, Winter 2020, April 2020 COVID-19 edition and May 2020 COVID-19 edition).

CACBT-ACTCC was pleased to congratulate, virtually:

  • Deborah Dobson

  • Lauren Cudney (McMaster University) - Perceived cognitive and functional impairments across treatment with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia

Jennifer Gillies (Western University) - Relative effectiveness of three commonly used sad mood induction procedures: Replication and extension

We hope to see you in May 2021!
